An incredibly elegant pair of rush seated elm side chairs.
The back rest constructed of square tapered styles united by slim top and bottom rails which in turn support two slats and a central carved 'split' splat.
The rush seat raised on slim square tapered legs to the front with square gently swept legs to the rear all united by stretchers.
The chairs have become a light golden colour. There are historic worm holes, and wear consistent with their age and use. This all combines in a pair of chairs with the most wonderful aesthetic quality.
A sturdy, stylish and useful pair of chairs that would look well place in a multitude of traditional and contemporary settings.
