An attractive and interesting 18th Century fruitwood chair with pierced splat back and rush seat raised on cabriole legs united by turned stretchers.

The chair has Queen Anne style cabriole legs and turned stretchers typical of the early C18th with later Chippendale influence back rest suggesting the chair was made in the mid C18th during the transitional period.

Constructed of Fruitwood with tenoned and pegged joints typical of regionally made furniture.

In good condition with some historic worm holes that have been re-treated.
