A 19th Century beech and elm captains or smokers bow armchair of good colour.
The chair constructed from beech other than the saddled seat which is carved from a single slab of well figured elm. All raised on ring turned legs united by a double 'H' stretcher.
The back of the seat stamped '53 C'.
A good solid, comfortable chair in excellent condition.
