The British firm Hadrill and Horstmann created some of the most innovative lamps of the 20th Century and are particularly well known for their barrel weighted counterbalance mechanisms.

These simple yet highly effective designs enable users to position the lamp in exactly the correct position without need to adjust any fittings making them quick and easy to use.

This particular model the 'Pluslite' is particularly rare and incorporates an adjustable frame that would have housed a magnifying lens however, the lens itself is missing.

The lamp is in good fully working condition and has been newly rewired to include a replacement bulb holder and inline switch.

An iconic piece of British industrial design that will serve well as a desk lamp.
