An original Victorian cast iron stick or umbrella stand depicting young Hercules and the snake.

This detailed casting is probably by the Colebrookdale Foundry in Shropshire and benefits considerably from it's original painted finish.

Whilst there are some small areas of rust and paint loss, the overall condition is excellent. There are no losses or cracks in the casting and wear to the paint work is consistent with age and use. It retains it's original drip-tray.
