A good quality cellarette of sarcophagus form raised on a pedestal base.
The cellarette heavily carved with acanthus leaves to the lid as well as gadrooned and rope-twist mouldings. The side panels with brass lion mask ring carry handles and oval escutcheon plate with original lock and key.
The Quadra-form base with reeded sabre legs hipped and carved with foliate decoration terminating in brass box-toe castors.
A very decorative and functional piece of furniture of excellent colour and highly original condition.
