A well proportioned hoop and stick high back Windsor armchair constructed in Ash with a saddled elm seat.
The back features a central shaped splat with pierced decoration supported at the mid point by an arm bow terminating in concave shape underarm supports. The seat raised on turned legs united by a 'H' shape stretcher.
A very comfortable chair of good colour. The design of the central splat can been seen in chairs of a similar period in both Buckinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
