A late 17th Century panel-back open armchair. The back with four fielded panels supported by down-swept arms raised on turned supports above a boarded seat. All raised on baluster-turned front legs joined by rectangular section stretchers.

An attractive and structurally solid chair of generous proportions with later arms and front stretcher. The gentle rake of the back rest makes this chair particularly comfortable and it would be well place in a multitude of settings.
