A very attractive pair of 19th Century colonial armchairs in the 'Raffles' style beautifully hand carved in teak.
The back of the chairs comprise deep, shaped, crest rails with scrolled ends. Below the crest rails, slim, reeded, mid rails and down swept reeded arms with baluster shape supports above cane seats. All raised on fluted legs to the front and square swept legs to the rear.
A good pair of colonial armchairs that are not only very attractive, but also very comfortable.
Anglo Indian. Circa 1850
