A good Regency period mahogany chest of two short over three long graduated drawers.

Constructed from excellent quality, well figured timbers that have a most wonderful colour and patination from over two hundred years of use.

The top with reeded edges above mahogany lined drawers with moulded fronts, turned wooden drawer pulls and their original locks with brass escutcheons (no key), all raised on turned feet.

Whilst the chest's provenance is unknown, it has always been designed to separate into two parts (not later adapted), making the chest easy to move and ideal for locations where access is restricted.
