Panel back Welsh box settle with two lift up seats providing very useful storage space.

This wonderful example of Welsh vernacular furniture is painted in a scumble finish where a combing technique has been used to create a repeating wave pattern. Resulting in the base coats of off white over red showing through a top coat of red/brown/sienna colour. The colour pigments mixed with shellac to provide a durable finish.

The result has given the settle a folk art feel and a depth of colour that will add warmth to any interior.

Perfect for an entrance hallway or boot room where extra storage is required.
