A very fine late 19th Century Adam style, painted satin wood, fold over games table with rosewood banding.
Profusely decorated with hand painted olive branch swags to the frieze, legs and top. Typically neo-classical in design, the top also features a central fan surrounded by urns and foliate decoration.
The table is constructed from well figured cuts of satin wood. And it is in excellent original condition, with no shrinkage, or warping to the top. The painted decoration retains it's vibrant colours.
The top folds open to reveal the original green cloth surface. And whilst there is some fading and wear along the central fold, the rest of the cloth is in good condition with no stains or marks.
A very attractive piece of furniture that whilst functionally useful, will also add tremendous decorative appeal.
H: 71.5cm
W: 90.5cm
D: 44.5cm - 88.5cm (with fold over table top closed/open)
