A stunning Norman or French oak coffer of generous proportions constructed from 16th Century and later elements.
With sunken four panel lid and decorative strap hinges opening to reveal a large and very useful storage space with candle compartment. The front of the coffer made up of four fabulous linenfold panels all raised on stile supports.
The time worn finish with historic worm damage is sublime, resulting in a piece of furniture that is not only incredibly attractive but also very useful.
