A most attractive 17th Century polychrome underglaze painted dish.
Decorated with a bird, flowers and foliage to the central area of the dish with a repeating foliate design set between concentric bands to the outer edge and base of the sloping rim.
Of Ottoman influence and stylistically similar to Iznik pottery, this piece may actually be from North West Iran.
