C19th English School Oil Painting on Canvas

A good Victorian painting of cattle in a byre with bantam chickens, milking stool and various hand tools mounted in a gilt frame.

The artist has demonstrated excellent use of light that illuminates the cattle from the left-hand side of the painting. This contrasts with the area to the rear of the cattle which is in deep shadow.

The painting is in excellent condition and is signed with the artists initials bottom left.
