A fine and very detailed C18th engraving of the Doge's Palace, Venice as viewed from the Grand Canal.
The engraving featuring the two columns of San Marco and San Todaro. The columns surmounted by the city's two patrons, the winged lion, symbol of St. Mark the evangelist and St. Todaro, the Byzantine St. Theodore of Amasea, the city's first protector. The foreground animated by numerous gondolas.
The engraving signed bottom right and mounted in a bespoke frame with ebonised and parcel gilt finish to include anti-reflection glass.
