A well decorated late C18th Chinese blue and white lidded ginger jar with a deep foot typical of the period.

The decoration features a child riding on the back of a foo lion between two further figures framed by prunus branches in blossom.

The jar in excellent condition with no cracks and only one small early chip to the inner edge of the foot which is not visible unless the jar is inverted.

A very attractive piece of Asian art that would look wonderful in a multitude of period and contemporary settings.
