Pair of late Georgian chairs with original painted decoration

A really attractive pair of late Georgian chairs retaining their original painted decoration.

The back rest constructed of square swept posts supporting two horizontal cross rails with ball decoration below a wider top rail. The upholstered seat raised on turned front legs with square swept legs to the rear all with hand painted decoration.

The seat pads rebuilt and newly re-upholstered in a contrasting sage green velvet.

The chairs in good solid condition with a historic repair to the leg of one of the chairs.

 These incredibly decorative chairs would look wonderful in a multitude of settings.
