A very decorative pair of Scottish terracotta garden urns.
Most likely to have been produced in a provincial brick works in the later part of the 19th Century. The wonderful toast colour resulting from the firing process and the presence of iron oxide in the clay coupled with nearly 150 year of use.
The urns ornately decorated with grapes and vine leaves to the rim with a fluted body raised on a square pedestal base with further decoration to the foot.
In very good condition with no cracks and only a few minor losses notably some of the grape drops to the underside of the rim.
