An incredibly striking early 20th Century silhouette print. One of 'The Four Seasons' by Hugo Hoppener, also known as Fidus, a German illustrator, painter and publisher.

Hugo Hoppener was a prominent exponent of the Symbolist movement. Moving away from Realism, this image of figures in the natural environment has a more dreamlike quality and evokes a real sense of freedom.  

The print in excellent condition, mounted in a new, high quality, bespoke made, gesso and parcel gilt frame.
