A lovely colour 19th Century Windsor arm chair.
Featuring a low hoop and stick back, arm rests with very nicely turned supports, and a rare alder wood saddled seat. All raised on turned legs with 'H' shape stretchers the design of which can be identified as having come from either the North East or the Thames Valley areas.
Due to the prevalence of Alder, it is more likely this particular chair was produced in the Thames Valley.
A very nicely shaped, comfortable chair, in excellent condition. Chairs of this form look excellent in both period and contemporary settings.
H: 90cm
W: 55.5cm (width between arm supports 36.5cm)
D: 54cm (seat depth 36cm)
Ref: DB623
