A Chinese Chippendale revival writing desk of superb quality by G Trollope & sons.

The desk of well figured rosewood features a pair of drawers faced with very crisp fretwork. There is further fretwork to the top and bottom sections of the cluster column legs which are in turn united by an 'H' shape open fretwork stretcher . The legs are further supported by decorative fretwork corner brackets.

The writing surface is finished in tooled leather and the desk has original brass and black ceramic Cope & Collinson castors as well as Cope & Collinson locks to both drawers.

An incredibly stylish desk of exceptional quality and condition.
