We have a real fondness for antique chairs and the sculptural beauty that can be found in good examples of this everyday item. The stick chair demonstrates this perfectly, with some early primitive examples looking as stylish today as they would have done several hundred years ago.

Good design is not only timeless, but it can also achieve exceptional comfort, and we pay particular attention to sourcing good quality upholstered chairs from the late 19^th and early 20^th Century for this very reason. The quality and construction of chairs during this period, particularly British chairs, can be exceptional. We strive to find excellent examples and work with a highly skilled upholsterer to bring chairs into our collection that can be enjoyed for many years to come.
